Teamwork Room

Basic information and conditions

A teamwork room with 16 study places and audio-visual equipment is available to readers during Jan Palach Library opening hours. The study room can be booked by a group (2 or more people) for seminars, meetings, film screenings, etc. Activities organized in the team study room must be exclusively non-commercial. In addition to reserved times, the study room is also freely accessible to individuals without prior request but without the possibility of using the special equipment.

The library’s teamwork room does not generally serve as a space for holding regular classes. Please contact the appropriate scheduler if you need space to accommodate standard faculty teaching.

The library reserves the right to refuse, move, shorten, or cancel the reservation upon prior agreement.

Teamwork room schedule and reservation

The teamwork room can be reserved by e-mail or in person at the reception or the loan desk (kjp@ff.cuni.cz). To make the reservation, we need to know the name of the contact person, the number of people, the purpose of the reservation, the request for the time span of a specific day, and if you want to use any of the special equipment (PC, projector, etc.). Arrive at the library well in advance of the scheduled start time and contact the staff at the reception or loan desk before the start and after the end of the reservation.

Information for faculty employees

The teamwork room of the library does not generally provide regular teaching and does not serve as a classroom for teaching regular study subjects. Please contact the appropriate scheduler if you need space to accommodate standard faculty teaching.

If you need to use laptops for the date reserved, the library can provide this service, but this must be requested no later than two working days before the reservation date, indicating the exact number of laptops required. At the same time, it is necessary to consider the time reserved for the preparation of laptops, i.e., your event (seminar, lecture) starts 10-30 minutes after the requested time and must end 10-30 minutes before the end of the reservation. The length of the time reserved for the preparation of notebooks depends on the required number.
