The Interlibrary loan (ILL) allows internal users of CU FA (employees and students of the Faculty) to obtain documents that are not in the collection of the CU FA Library, from libraries outside of Prague in the Czech Republic, or from libraries abroad (international ILL).
The documents borrowed via ILL and international ILL are intended only for an in-house study in the study rooms of Jan Palach Library. The requested documents may be delivered to another departmental library at CU FA for in-house study. The book is carried to the departmental library by an employee providing the ILL and international ILL (not by the user).
The provision of ILL is regulated by Charles University Library and Circulation Rules.
Jan Palach Library provides ILL and international ILL to internal CU FA users. Requests of foreign publications/copies are supplied via the National Library of the Czech Republic, which has three months to process the requests. You can cancel the request at least two work days after their submission by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The payment must be settled even for documents not canceled in time.
Send your request to email@example.com
Details required for requesting documents:
Currently, only copies are subject to charge for ILL; the fee depends on the price list of the library providing the copy.
The users of CU FA cover in full the cost of the requested services after an employee of CU FA Library informs them about the incoming documents, i.e., by cash deposit or by cashless bank payment.
