Trial access to eResources

We currently have active trial access to two eResources. Specifically, the scite_ tool and the Policy Commons: Global Think Tanks database. More information on each eResource can be found below.

SCITE_

scite_ is an award-winning platform for discovering and evaluating scientific articles via Smart Citations. Smart Citations allow users to see how a publication has been cited by providing the context of the citation and a classification describing whether it provides supporting or contrasting evidence for the cited claim.

To access, use the link at the eResources Portal and it has been extended until 28.02.2024.

You must set up a user account on the university email whatever@whatever.cuni.cz to use scite_ properly. Students who do not have faculty emails can use the o365.cuni email by following these instructions. If you already have an account set up for a non-university email, you can only use it within the University’s IP address range.

Policy Commons: Global Think Tanks

Until 08.02.2024, Charles University has trial access to the Policy Commons: Global Think Tanks. This database contains materials from 11,000 organizations, including the OECD, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, IMF (and many other NGOs), IGOs, and think tanks.

To access this database, use the link at the eResources Portal.

KRpia and DBpia

Until 31.01.2024, KRpia and DBpia, fulltext Korean databases, are available. For access use the eResources Portal (ezdroje.cuni.cz) – link for KRpia and for DBpia.
